thinking that the downtown farmer’s market might be a little less busy than usual on the fourth of july (why? i am not sure), we headed down there. it was just as busy and exciting as ever. the fruits and vegetables are really getting into full swing here as summer moves along.

my most recent birthday was one of those “big” ones marking the beginning of a new decade. my family came out to help me celebrate and showered me with food and gifts. one of my favorite gifts was a collection of origami frogs (if you count them you can figure out how old i am) from my niece.
